A little about me…

I’m a husband, father, entrepreneur, former mayor, and I spent a decade as a Business to Business (B2B) sales trainer. I have often called myself a “stuff shirt” yet I’m becoming more and more comfortable with hoodies and hats (insert cheesy grin).

Much of my story is like most of yours reading this right now: celebration, tragedy, victory, defeat, happiness, tears and laughter. I believe that if you only look at one picture or post on social media, then you’re missing the full story. Fortunately, the better part of my professional career (and all of my kids’ lives) have been published to social media.

By following me via the podcast, social networks and blog you’ll find that I am ambitious and humble, fun and serious, focused and silly but most of all - passionate and driven. Currently, I am building two businesses, Magic Mile Media and Neuse News, based on my experiences communicating to our citizens via social media platforms.

I spent the better part of my service to the citizens of Kinston practicing social media tools such as newsletters, videos, livestreams, images and blogs to communicate happenings in our government and in our community.

Needless to say I’m more concerned about being happy than making a lot of money and I’m focused on serving people and businesses. Along the way I’ll share some core philosophies, business triumphs, defeats and more to hopefully help you live a more abundant life.
